..on this morning's sermon

Our Assistant Pastor spoke this morning, basically on knowing God's will. His whole sermon (excellent though it was) can be summed up in the sentence, "God says 'Yes' until He says 'No'". I found this very encouraging. Especially as one of the examples he used, more than once, was your job. And how you/we/me should go for a new job or a promotion and if it's God's will He will just let it happen and not stop it.

"So what?" you might say. Shouldn't this revolutionise our prayer lives? No more "Lord if it's your will give me a sign". Shouldn't this revolutionise our evangelism? No more "Lord please open up an opportunity for me to speak to this person."
